The whole point of PubClub is to get creative writing works out there. In order to do that, we host monthly writing contests that are open to all writers – student or otherwise. These contests cover a wide range of topics, themes, and styles.
The Contest Process
First, PubClub will decide on the contest requirements and theme. Then through posters and a blog post, the information will be shared with the public. Once the contest information is out there, we wait for submissions to come in.
When the contest deadline arrives, the club president will send out all the stories to the members of PubClub. Then the members will vote on their favorite story. The author’s name will have been redacted from the stories to prevent bias.
Within a week, the winners and their pieces will be made public and they will receive their prizes.
